july 16 - two more giveaways & a great read

Renae is having a Christmas in July giveaway on her blog. If you haven't visited her blog, please do so. She has some wonderful things there.

Paulette is also having a giveaway at her blog. If you love Plum Street Sampler designs as much as I do you will want to head right over there.

Someone on one of the blogs mentioned this book and I am so glad I followed up on it. "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer is a wonderful book, written as a series of letters. I am listening to the audio version and it has really captured me. I would highly recommend this book, and thank you to whoever it was that brought it to my attention.

And thanks for visiting!

  1. Now how can I go enter these competitions if you don't give me a link to them - ???? - of course that's one way to stop the competition.... whaaaaaaaaa! C'mon - I'm competition crazy at the moment....I found Plum Street, but where do I find the Christmas in July competition?
I've marked down the book too and will search for it in my library - thanks

  5. It's just taking me forever to get around to all the blogs nowadays. Love this Shaffer book suggestion it sounds quite wonderful. My goodness your Alla Turka is progressing nicely, looks like you may meet that goal! And BPotter is moving right along too. You are just stitching up a storm. Which of course is reflected in your Totally Useless Container, love it, keep up the good work. I'll be back, whenever, not many stitchy blogs give me good reading material advice (LOL).

  7. I never sleep well when dh and I are apart (although, I wouldn't sleep well when we're together if I didn't wear ear plugs EVERY night)! Can't wait to see your Lo finish.
