January WIPocalypse

Last year, even though I posted each month, I never really worked on any of my older works in progress.Almost everything I posted were new starts and sometimes, finishes. This year, I've decided to really try and get to some of those UFOs and WIPs that have been lying neglected for awhile.

The first project I am tackling is Waiting for the Harvest from Blackbird Designs. This was one of my Crazy 15 starts from 2012 (or was it 2011???) and I have no idea why I just let it sit. It was going to be my take to work project, and I actually did do that at least once or twice, but then I hardly ever have stitching time at work, so it kind of fell into the basket, never to be seen again.

This is where I left it off last January:

And here is my progress after working on it for a few evenings this month. Wednesdays are WIP days at Friendly Stitchers, so I am trying to at least work on WIPs then. I'm about 2/3 done.

Everything else I have worked on this month has been for exchanges, and I have shown pictures of the ones that have been recieved.

On to February...Thanks for visiting!

  1. I should follow your example. I have a basket overflowing with WIP's but I'm still buying more charts!
You are making quick progress on this one! I really like the color thread you are using.

  7. Lovely color, great progress. I've started working a piece on my lunch hour, it's amazing how much can get done in 45 min a day. :-)

  8. That is a lovely little stitching. I used to cross-stitch a lot -- now when I do, I make it as simple a project as possible so that I can finish quickly and move on to something else. I have so little patience nowadays. And have zero time at work for anything other than work! :) Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. Best wishes, Tammy

  9. You got a lot done in just a few evenings - you will be finished in no time! I have a train project - I get about 1/2 hour stitching done on my way into work. Unfortunately on the way home the train is to crowded for me to stitch so then I read - the best of both worlds really!
