In January, I spent nothing on stash! Not a penny...nada..zip...zero. I do (or did) belong to two fabric of the month clubs, but one of them has been discontinued, and I haven't received anything this month from the other...but they are exempt anyway. I am not saying that this is easy. I have seen several designs that I really really want to add to my stash...but I think I will just start a new wishlist so that I don't forget about them...maybe I can talk someone into buying me a groundhog's day gift????
I had two new starts from my stash...both small designs to be sent off for a block exchange. You can see one of them here, and this is the other, a square from Prairie Schooler's Nordic Holiday.
And I started one new project, Shades of Autumn from Dinky Dyes:
I also finished a round robin here and stitched on two of my UFO/WIPs...Abigail Gould Sampler from The Scarlet Letter
and The Gilded Cage from Carriage House Samplings.
On to February!
I must apologize for the poor photos...no time to iron first, and I am having a really hard time figuring out how to crop my photos in Windows 8.1. Must practice on that. I am not very tech savvy!
Thanks for taking the time to visit!
I am so proud of you, Lynda, great job on your starts from stash, as well as your progress on your WIPs…everything is so gorgeous, and I love the colors…especially "Nordic Holiday."

Some lovely stitching!
ReplyDeleteI think the Stitch from Stash challenge will get harder as the year goes on, but congrats on not spending anything in January!
Good for you on stitching from your stash as well as not caving and buying the several charts you wanted to buy, Lynda! Go Lynda!

Congrats, I did have to spend a little, ran out of thread while working on a piece. I agree this is harder than I thought it would be.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on not spending any money :) You have some lovely projects on the go :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the projects your working on and cute finish. Congrats on no stash purchase.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Well done on not spending a penny!
ReplyDeleteLovely WIPs!
ReplyDeleteI hate my Windows 8.1 on my new laptop... detest it in fact. It runs stupid apps in the background I can't stop and all kinds of weird stuff. So I feel your pain. ;)
Hi! I just found your blog and it looks fabulous! I look forward to seeing more of your stitching and updates.

Congrats on your first month of SFS!! Your stitching is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTricia
SFS is a wonderful idea. I could do this but I barely have any fabric in my stash. I could SFS for threads and patterns for sure.
ReplyDeleteYour January stitching is wonderful. Keep up the great work!
Good for you for spending nothing this month :) I just posted my report too.
ReplyDeleteAll of your stitching looks wonderful and you are so good for not spending any money!!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely projects !
ReplyDeleteNice projects and congrats on $0 spending.
ReplyDeleteYou're 1/12th of the way there! Nice job this month on meeting your goal! Your WIPs are lovely and they deserve some time in your hands!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I did not find the SFS until sign ups were closed but I plan to do it on my own anyway!
ReplyDeleteI like your starts. Good for you on stitching from stash.
ReplyDeleteI just love reading your Blog...All of your WIP's are looking great....I've been stitching from my stash also....No new patterns for me this month.
ReplyDeleteHappy Stitching

Oh gosh, another zero one, must do better! Definitely start a wish list......
ReplyDeleteWell done on not spending. I too am feeling quite virtuous this month...bet it doesn't last though!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Lynda--there are so, so many great things waiting in our stash! It is nice you're getting some of them stitched up--everything looks great!
ReplyDeleteWell done! Your WIPs looks great. See you have plenty to keep you going and out of trouble! Hate the photo gallery full stop in Windows 8. Have downloaded Picasa again to this computer.
ReplyDeleteI have never learned to cross stitch :( I would love to learn. You do beautiful work :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda! It's so nice to meet you! Thanks for coming over to say hi! Your stitching is lovely! I wish I could do something like that. It seems so calming!
ReplyDeleteKelly
Hi Lynda! I'm visiting from the Grow Your Blog Party. I love cross-stitching too but at the moment I'm only making jewellery. You have a great blog here. Happy stitching. Ana
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your Stitch from Stash budget this month! Your stitching is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou did it, Lynda! Not a single $ spent and you stitched from stash only, that's a success. I have a wish list where I store all the new patterns that I'd love to buy but after a while I weed through it and the urge for this or that pattern has completely vanished. And I often go through my stash and find patterns that I had completely forgotten about and that I want to start immediately. That's a bit like buying new stash, lol.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with February.
Well done! Great stitching progress as well :)
ReplyDeleteIf you saw my pictures, you'd be horrified. But I am not a pro taking photos.
