jan 4 ~ the best laid plans ~

Last year I planned to stitch only from my stash. It worked pretty well until about September when I started buying stuff again.
So this year I planned to stitch only from my stash. Then we got snowed in around here and Acorns & Threads (my LNS) decided to have a sale. And I still had my discount coupon from the fall open house. So I stopped by on the way home the other day and promptly fell off the wagon! I did try to buy only things I was almost certain I would get stitched this year though (well...with the exception of the initial "L" piece...I don't think I'll be able to finish that one). Here are some pictures of what I bought. I also got some needles, a few pieces of fabric and lots of floss to go with these and some other things I needed floss for.
So from now on I plan to only stitch from my stash.......

  2. Looks like you got some great additions to your stash! :D I know what you mean tho, I am like that also & say I am only going to stitch from my stash & then I end up getting something new! LOL ~ my latest "fall off the wagon" being my new HAED addiction lol.

    Happy Stitching!

  3. ***grin*** I look at buying stash as "saving for retirement." I don't spend more than our pockets can afford though...

  4. You just keeping telling yourself you'll only stitch from your stash. Trust me, there's always a new must-have design out there with your name on it.

  7. OHHH, such a nice haul of new stash. It would have been very unreasonable not to use your coupon ;)

  13. It's so good to have New Year resolutions. Even if, along the way, we loose some of them. It is good to wish. If we can make it good. If not we will try again.
    Happy New Year
