march 27 - question for commenters

First, I really do appreciate each and every one of your comments.
I have a question that I hope someone can answer...I have all comments sent to my email as well so I can be sure not to miss any. When I respond to that comment email...does the commenter receive that response or is it just floating out there in cyberspace? I don't want anyone to feel that I am ignoring their comments!
Thanks again for visiting!

  1. Well when you receive an email about a comment you can see who the sender is. If the sender is a noreply-blogger, they won't get your email when you want to write them back. I found this one out when I did it myself. You really need to see an email adress if you want to answer on the comment.

  3. I did that too before I noticed the "no-reply" thing. I'm sure I have some floating out there as well. But learning something each day is a good thing!!!!!!!! (LOL)

  4. It took me a while to notice that I definitely could answer to commenters. And it took me another while to notice that there are no-reply bloggers I can't reach through emails. Now I know about the difference, lol.

  7. Don't you have to click their email address to respond directly to them? Otherwise, I thought the response is posted to the comment section and unless they stop by again, or unless they opted to receive updates anytime someone posted a comment after them, then they won't know anyone responded to them.

  8. Your stitching is lovely! I love both your mystery SAL and Beatrix Potter. I understand about LHN and CC - they are just plain happy to stitch, aren't they? Great job!

  9. The Daisy Sampler is so cute and I love your thread color on the Beatix Potter. I may have to invest in this design...it is so pretty.

  11. Hey! I just found your blog, linked here after leaving a comment on Cathy's blog and saw your little stitcher self that you had made for STO. I've added you to my bloglines and will be visiting soon. Hopefully I can see your print better at home. I have to highlight your text here at work in order to read it.
